Her current work in progress is her memoir, which began as her MFA thesis and explores Lizette’s struggle with mental health and relationships at her small liberal arts college.

Lizette received her MFA at Saint Mary’s College of California in 2021 and her BA in English and Psychology at Skidmore College in 2018. When she’s not writing pieces about relationships, pop culture, and mental illness, Lizette enjoys making TikToks, producing music, and snuggling with her black cat Stompy.

From 2016-2018, Lizette wrote for and was the publicist of Skidmore College’s satirical newspaper The Skidmo’ Daily. Her first official publication was a creative nonfiction piece titled “Drinking With Family,” which was published in the Oakland Arts Review. In 2020, she wrote a satirical article about Harry Styles for The Daily Drunk Magazine and continued the One Direction theme in her piece “One Direction and Other Medicine,” published in The Sad Girl Review in 2021.
